The President explained, at the end of the European Council meeting in Brussels, the process for simplifying the legislation applicable to companies.

"The Commission has committed to coming up with 10 so-called omnibuses of legislative packages that simplify the legislation applicable to companies in different sectors. Of these 10 omnibuses, all were drafted by the Commission. Three have also passed the Council and Parliament, so they are in force, two are now under negotiation between Parliament and the Council and the others are under negotiation by the Council and the other five", Dan specified.

The head of state stressed that the new proposals aim at a uniform legal regime across the Union, but also a regulatory document aimed at protecting strategic economic sectors.

"The Commission has meanwhile come up with a proposal for the so-called 28th regime, meaning companies to be established and to operate on an identical regulation in all 27 European states, and also, as you know, about two weeks ago, the Commission proposed the so-called Industrial Accelerator Act".

Regarding the stimulation of European industry, the president showed that the new regulatory act aims to accelerate administrative procedures and production in specific areas.

"Industrial Accelerator Act, a document that has a regulatory proposal, which wants to stimulate industrial production within the European Union, which wants to protect some strategic areas, which wants to accelerate industrial production in certain areas and which also accelerates some uniform approval procedures within the European Union", concluded Dan.
